The Center for Emerging Markets
The Center for Emerging Markets (CEM) at NU, founded in 2007, is dedicated to conducting research on how firms can leverage high-growth emerging markets for global competitive advantage. It seeks to disseminate best practices on how to succeed in such markets to firms everywhere.
The Center leverages the broad expertise of more than 50 Northeastern faculty in the College of Business Administration, the College of Arts & Sciences, the Law School, and the School of Criminology, among others. The Center’s founding director is Ravi Ramamurti, CBA Distinguished Professor of International Business and Strategy.
The Center works closely with firms and managers in the US and in emerging markets. It is guided by a distinguished External Advisory Board consisting of senior executives of Western MNCs (such as EMC, Hasbro, IBM, Liberty Mutual, Pfizer, and Proctor & Gamble) and rising emerging-market firms (such as Embraer, Larsen & Toubro, Li & Fung, and the Tata Group).
For more information about the Center, please visit www.cba.neu.edu/cem.
