    Membership Information

     

    Membership: Participation in Center activities is open to a limited number of family-owned and managed businesses. Participation in events is restricted to members, prospective members and sponsors.

    Topics: The curriculum is driven by the needs and desires of Center members, and includes: parent, adult child, sibling, spouse, cousin, and in-law family relationships; traditions and values; power, control and compensation; roles and responsibilities; legal, financial and other planning issues around leadership succession and ownership transfer.

    Faculty: Resources are recognized experts in family business issues, including scholars and practitioners in the fields of human resources and psychology, law, accounting, finance, investment, insurance, marketing and international issues, mergers and acquisitions, plus family business men and women who have lived the issues in depth.

    Search engine: The Center owns and manages the most powerful search engine serving family businesses and their advisors. It can be accessed at www.fambiz.com

    Publications: The Center's newsletter, Family Business Quarterly, provides timely legal, insurance, asset management, financial services, mergers and acquisitions, and tax planning ideas and offers insights on strengthening family business relationships and family systems. Members also enjoy access to the Center's family business bibliography and collection of literature.

    CEO Breakfasts: The chief executives of Center member companies are invited to join the region's corporate leaders and other guests of the College of Business Administration at periodic breakfast meetings with internationally acclaimed CEOs.
