Research and Teaching Interests

Professor Sultan's research interests are in the area of Marketing Innovations, Digital Marketing, Mobile Marketing and New Media/ Social Media.. Her current research interests include Global Mobile Marketing, Digital Marketing and Youth Media Multi-tasking, She teaches courses in Marketing Management, Electronic /Digital Marketing, Mobile Marketing and Marketing Analysis for Technology-based Products and Services.

Industry and Academic Experience

Professor Sultan has been an Operations Researcher, Statistician and Acting Team Leader Survey/Statistics Group at Development Analysis Associates, Cambridge, MA. She has worked on research projects in marketing with companies such as Adidas, Reebok, BT, Intel, General Motors, McCann-Erickson, National Family Opinion (NFO), IBM, Zenith, Philips, Mitsubishi, SONY, Matsushita, and Texas Instruments. She has also worked as a Senior Research Associate with the Marketing Science Institute in Cambridge, MA. Professor Sultan has done research and consulting in the U.S., Japan and in Pakistan. She has presented her research in numerous academic and industry conferences in the U.S, Europe, Asia, and Australia. She has also done executive training and consulting in the U.S., Argentina and in Pakistan. Prior to joining the CBA faculty, Professor Sultan served as assistant professor at Harvard University, associate professor at Golden Gate University, and visiting associate professor at the University of California Berkeley.

Professional Services

Professor Sultan is a member of the editorial review board of the Journal of Interactive Marketing. Professor Sultan is also a member of the American Marketing Association (AMA), Institute for Operations Research and Management Science (INFORMS), Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), Organization of Pakistani Entrepreneurs (OPEN).
