Research and Teaching Interests

Professor Charvet’s primary research interest consists of supply chain relationships, collaboration between supply chain partners, and the role of key contact employees in supply chain management. Other areas of interest include inter-organizational information systems, global logistics and supply chain management, cross-functional integration, and logistics and business process outsourcing. Professor Charvet’s teaching interests include Transportation Management, Logistics Management, Supply Chain Management, and Logistics and Supply Chain Software Applications.

Prior to joining Northeastern University, Professor Charvet worked as a business consultant in logistics and information systems for companies such as ORTEC International in Atlanta, GA and ORESYS in Brussels and Paris.

Professional Services

Professor Charvet is a member of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, Academy of Marketing Science, Production and Operations Management Society, and the Institute for Supply Management. He has served as ad hoc referee for the Journal of Operations Management and the Academy of Marketing Science’s Annual Conference.
