The Certificate of Advanced Study in Management offers you a unique
opportunity to advance your professional skills while earning graduate
level certification and credits. The program allows you to tailor a
course of study that best meets your specific needs.
Who should participate
By providing exposure to the latest business thinking and practice,
the program offers professionals the opportunity to update and sharpen
skills from a general management perspective or within a specific
discipline. The program is available to qualified candidates who have
already earned a bachelors degree, but who may or may not already hold
an advanced degree.
Objectives
Because of the programs flexibility and the ability to customize,
you may create a course of study that best meets your specific needs.
You may pursue a general course of study across disciplines or
specialize in area such as, but not limited to: Corporate Finance,
Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Leadership, Accounting, Corporate
Renewal, Investments, Marketing, and International Business.
Curriculum
The program completing four courses over a one- to three-year period
selected from regularly scheduled courses within the Colleges MBA
program. Program advisors are available to assist in making course
selections that will best meet your specific needs.
Location
Courses are conveniently located on our Boston campus and at our downtown financial district campus.
Quick Facts
You may begin the Graduate Certificate of Advanced Study in the fall, spring, or summer semester.
- Courses are offered on the main Boston campus and at the downtown
campus in the financial district. Most courses meet in the evening;
some courses meet on Saturdays.

- To earn the certificate, you must complete four graduate business
courses (for a total of 12 credits) and maintain a minimum cumulative
grade point average of 3.00.
- Graduate credit earned through this program may be applied towards graduate degree programs within the College of Business.
Application Information
Every applicant must hold at least a bachelor's degree and submit the following items:
- Signed, completed application form ( a downloadable pdf is available here )
- Non-refundable $50.00 application fee (make check payable to Northeastern University)
- Minimum of one letter of professional recommendation mailed directly from the writer
- Up-to-date resume
- Official TOEFL score if college study was not in English
