Research and Teaching Interests

Professor Demirkan’s research is mainly focused on social networks, Inter-organizational relationships, organizational learning (exploration-exploitation framework, knowledge transfer), and innovation in high-tech industries.

Industry and Academic Experience

During her doctoral studies, Professor Demirkan taught International Business and Business Policy and Strategy (Strategic Management) courses at the University of Texas at Dallas. She has held positions in strategic planning with several companies in Istanbul, Turkey.
