Accommodations

The Colonnade Hotel is the official conference hotel. We have negotiated the lowest rate available from hotels in the immediate area (US$199 per night plus tax). Hotel rooms are not included in the registration fee, so you must book your room directly at the hotel.

Because June is a very popular time for tourism in Boston, hotel rooms in the city are likely to be fully booked around the conference period. Therefore, we advise you to arrange your accommodation on time. The Colonnade is holding a limited number of rooms at the reduced conference rate up to 45 days before the conference. The Colonnade is located at 120 Huntington Avenue, Boston, Massachusetts, 02116, and is one-half mile from our campus.

Dormitory rooms

As a less expensive alternative to the conference hotel, we have dormitory rooms available in International Village, the newest residence hall at Northeastern University. The building includes a full service dining hall, laundry facilities, a fitness area, television lounges, game rooms, and study rooms.      

International Village is located about a 5 minute walk from the conference venue (see map).

Dormitory rooms are all non-smoking and are arranged as semi-private suites comprising two single bedrooms each with their own entrance, and connected by a shared bathroom. There are also a limited number of double bedroom suites (two double-sized rooms each with two single beds, connected by a shared bathroom). Each room contains a set of drawers, a closet and a desk. Linens and towels are provided.

You will be assigned to rooms at random from the pool of (same gender) attendees applying for a dorm room. However two people can specify that they would like to share a suite and will be housed accordingly. This similarly applies to couples sharing double room suites.

Prices are: 
    • Single room: $65 per room per night (occupancy limited to one person per room) 
    • Double room: $100 per room per night (occupancy limited to two people per room) 
    • You may rent an entire suite by agreeing to rent both rooms at the above rates
