Undergraduate Minor in Technological Entrepreneurship

Successful technological entrepreneurs know how to relate to people with different types of knowledge and experience. One program goal is to teach the art of collaboration, which is key to turning new technology into marketable products and services.

This minor provides undergraduates with an understanding of the process for successfully bringing new technology-driven products to market. It's open to all full-time undergraduates at Northeastern, but is specifically designed for students majoring in science, computer science, engineering, business or health sciences.  The minor consists of five courses, four required Entrepreneurship and Innovation courses and one course dependent on your major.  For most students the fifth course is already included in their program of study.

 Required Courses For Technological Entrepreneurship Minor:

• ENTR 2301 - Innovation!

• ENTR 3403 - Managing Operations in a Technology-Based Start-Up Firm

• ENTR 4501 - Planning and Growth Ventures 

• ACCT 1209 - Financial Accounting and Reporting  

For those starting the program after August 2011, please add:

• ENTR 3330 - Introduction to Product Design for Entrepreneurs

  Or an approved course from your college, e.g., GE 1110 - Engineering Design
