International Affairs


  • The International Management/International Affairs track is designed for students who wish to integrate cultural immersion with business studies while also focusing on politics and international affairs.  Students on this track study the basics of a foreign language of their choice. 

    Currently, BSIB students on the International Affairs track spend their expatriate year in Dublin, Ireland. As of fall 2012, students can attend partner universities in Dublin, Ireland or Lancaster, England. 

    The Partner School – England
    Located on Lancaster University’s green parkland campus, Lancaster University Management School (LUMS) combines the passion for knowledge and ideas you would expect of the UK’s top research-led business school with the distinctive human qualities of a supportive and vibrant community. Since the University’s founding over 40 years ago, LUMS’ faculty and students have worked at the boundaries of knowledge and practice, challenging conventional wisdom and contributing to future best practice.

    BSIB students studying at LUMS will enroll in the third year curriculum and complete course work such as: Managerial Economics, Human Resources Management, Operations Management as well as Finance, Marketing or Entrepreneurship courses.

    Lancaster has a population of about 46,000 and is located in Lancashire County in the north-west of England. It is the gateway to the Lake District and is about 1 hour north of Manchester.

    The Partner School - Ireland
    The Business School at Dublin City University (DCU) in Dublin, Ireland. DCU offers degrees at the bachelors, masters and Ph.D. levels. Established in 1980, DCU has quickly developed a solid reputation in Europe. DCU's modern campus offers top-quality, state-of the-art facilities and serves around 10,000 undergraduate and graduate students. DCU is located in a residential area in the northern suburbs of Dublin, an easy bus ride from the central city.

    BSIB students studying at DCU will enroll in the third year curriculum and complete course work such as: International Trade and Business, Finance, European Union Policy and Politics, Electronic Commerce and Irish Economic Analysis.

    Dublin is a bustling city that serves as the hub for business in Ireland. A flourishing nightlife, an abundance of historical sites and an energetic arts community make this city a magnet for international visitors.
