External Transfer Students
Students wishing to enter CBA from other institutions or from NU's School of Professional and Continuing Studies must file an application through the Undergraduate Admissions Office. Once accepted into CBA, external transfer students will be assigned an Academic Advisor who will assist you during your transition to the University.
To apply as an external transfer student, please visit the Admissions website here.
Internal Transfer Students
Students in another full-time program at NU who wish to transfer into the College of Business Administration must meet the following eligibility requirements for the Degree Program to which they apply, either the BSBA: Bachelor of Science in Business Administration or BSIB: Bachelor of Science in International Business.
Students in the General Studies and Ujima Scholars programs can click their respective programs for transfer information.
BSBA Eligibility
BSBA transfer students must have an overall QPA of 2.8 or higher and a C or better in any business requirements taken before entering CBA (including Economics, English and Calculus). Upperclass students must transfer prior to their junior year.
It is the expectation in CBA that all students complete at least two co-op experiences as an integral part of the BSBA degree. You will be expected to take the pre-req to the CBA co-op class, BUSN1100 (if you have not taken a previous Co-op class) and BUSN1103 (the co-op class).
BSIB Eligibility
BSIB transfer students must have an overall QPA of 3.0 or higher, must meet language requirements (placement exams may be taken at the Modern Language Department with results submitted with the application), and must earn a C or better in any business requirements taken before entering CBA (including Economics and Calculus).
